Healthgrades, a leading online resource for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals, has ranked Centinela  Hospital Medical Center (CHMC) among the top 5 percent of hospitals in the nation for cardiology services.

“The hospitals that stand out for exceptional performance in cardiology services should be commended for their long-standing commitment to quality,” said Brad Bowman, MD, chief medical officer at Healthgrades. “As consumers are increasingly savvy when it comes to finding and selecting a hospital, patients can be confident when they select a hospital that has achieved this Healthgrades recognition.”

CHMC is featured in the Healthgrades 2020 Report to the Nation, which underscores the importance of hospital quality to both consumers and hospital executives. Every year Healthgrades evaluates hospital performance at nearly 4,500 facilities nationwide.

The Inglewood facility also received a Five star performance rating in nine treatments, procedures and specialties: Treatment of heart failure; defibrillator procedures; pacemaker procedures; coronary interventional procedures; treatment of heart attack; hip fracture treatment; spinal fusion surgery; treatment for GI bleed; and treatment of sepsis.

“Our team at Centinela Hospital has worked incredibly hard to ensure we deliver and consistently maintain high-quality healthcare services to our community, and it is truly an honor to be nationally recognized by Healthgrades for excellence in cardiology services and so many other clinical specialties,” said Mohammad A. Naser, CHMC chief operating officer and interim chief executive officer.

CHMC is a member of Prime Healthcare and has been serving the communities of Inglewood and Los Angles since 1924. For more information, visit www.centinelamed.com
