A 64-year-old white man had pleaded guilty to harassing his Black neighbors at a Dallas area apartment complex, according to prosecutors. Glenn Eugene Halfin of Grapevine plead guilty on July 12 to interfering with a Black family’s housing rights and is looking at up to a year in federal prison along with a $100,000 fine. According to court documents obtained by the Associated Press, the old man bought a doll in December, put a noose around its neck and hung it on a railing by a staircase to intentionally intimidate his neighbors, who lived in the unit above his. The family also said their cars were targeted with eggs and dog poop. Halfin was eventually evicted after an investigation got underway.
