A 34-year-old Lake Forest man who raped five women and molested a sixth was sentenced to 112 years to life in prison.
Sekayi Rudo White was convicted Feb. 2, 2011, of 14 felony counts, including rape, attempted rape, assault with intent to rape, sexual battery, criminal threats, dissuading a witness and first-degree burglary.
The jury also found true sentencing enhancement allegations for sex crimes against multiple victims, rape with a deadly weapon, rape during a burglary, and use of a deadly weapon. A judge also found true a sentencing enhancement allegation for committing a crime while out on bail on other sexual assaults.
Deputy District Attorney Tony Ferrentino told jurors White would prey on women in vulnerable situations.
“He didn’t do it in the brush like a lion–he did it out in the open,” Ferrentino told jurors.
