ANAHEIM, Calif.–Jobs will be added at AT&T call centers in Anaheim Hills and Cerritos as part of a commitment the company announced today to bring back 5,000 wireless call center jobs to the United States after closing its purposed merger with T-Mobile USA.
The announcement represents the largest commitment by an individual American company to bring back jobs to the United States since the economic crisis began in 2008, according to AT&T chairman and chief executive officer Randall Stephenson.
The commitment to bring back jobs that had been outsourced to other countries results from AT&T developing detailed analysis focused specifically on identifying opportunities with the T-Mobile merger to bring back wireless call center jobs, Stephenson said.
