Fear the individual

“They play it safe. They are quick to assassinate what they do not understand. They move in packs, ingesting more and more fear with every act of hate on one another. They feel most comfortable in groups; less guilt to swallow. They are us. This is what we have become; afraid to respect the individual. A single person within their circumstance can move one to change, to love herself, to evolve.”

I Hate Myself…

I hate myself for loving you
because my feelings for you get the best of me
I can never tell you "no"
and I hate myself for it

But no matter how mad I get
I can never stay that way
because your smile makes me smile
and your eyes light my world

I hate myself for loving you
because you have this hold over me
I do what I do because of you
and this isn't the way things are supposed to be.

But, no matter how much I hate myself
I can never stay that way
