A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, March 24, for Grace Askey King from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Tom Bradley Environmental & Humanities Magnet, 3875 Dublin Ave, in Los Angeles. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages celebrating her life through contributions to Tom Bradley Magnet School Scholarship Fund in her name. Bradley, formerly Dublin Avenue School, was the last school where she taught. A native of Austin, King was longtime LAUSD primary-grades educator. She died on Nov. 18, 2011, in Cedar Hill, Texas, at 88. She taught in the district for more than 30 years.
