Carson job and health fair for veterans to be held on July 29

Bring resumes and dress to impress

A job and health fair for veterans is being organized jointly by the city of Carson’s Veterans Affairs Commission and the ERB/Filipino Veterans Foundation.

The fair will be held on Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the city’s Veterans Park at 22400 Moneta Ave. Admission is free.

Among the services offered will be mobile health units, free haircuts for veterans, information on veterans’ benefits and workshops and seminars on job-seeking skills. 

Participants are encouraged to bring their resume and dress to impress, as interviews may be held onsite. Job seekers and vendors can pre-register for the fair online at http://ci.carson.ca.us/veteransjobfair/default.asp

    Los Angeles World Airports’ (LAWA) First Source Hiring Program is coordinating the first job fair for airport tenants planning to hire hundreds of employees for the new restaurant and retail complex opening this summer in the new Tom Bradley International Terminal at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

    HMS Host will interview applicants for 125 fast-food attendant/cashier positions at the LAX Targeted Recruitment Job Fair to be held Saturday, April 6.

  • Carson to hold third back-to-school health fair on Saturday -

    The SouthBay Pavilion in Carson is hosting its third annual Back-to-School Health Fair from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4, following its one year Zumba fitness anniversary party from 8:30-10 a.m.

    The SouthBay Pavilion is located at 20700 Avalon Blvd. in Carson.
