Brace yourself

Hollywood, CA -- Brace yourself. That’s right, this is one of those disturbing movies that leave you scared and concerned for your mortal soul, especially if you believe that in spite of some of the nasty things you’ve done, it still doesn’t qualify you to burn in hell.

“Drag Me to Hell” is one of those nasty movies that will have you cursing all the way through the film. Its shock and gross values are off the hook. And, is it loud?! If you’re not careful you’ll lose your cool and scream before you catch yourself.

NBC Universal call for entries

Hollywood, CA -- No doubt the summer movies, summer replacements shows on TV and all the hype, cause those who wish to become filmmakers to dream of what could be. Well, stop dreaming and start doing!

NBC Universal announces its newly expanded Fourth-Annual Short Cuts Film Festival targeting minority talent and filmmakers across all film genres. Call for entries began April 21 and continues to Aug. 21, 2009 so you still have time to be a part of it.

A real nail biter

Knees are knocking, and a lot of bicarbonate of soda is flying off the shelves as producers, writers, and directors find out if they are on the chopping block or not. And television viewers are crossing their fingers in hopes that their favorite shows aren’t canceled. Indeed, it’s a tough time in television land and even more so for black actors and actresses because if they’re a part of a series that’s cancelled, they may be out of work for a long, long time.
