LANCASTER, Calif—Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a new born baby girl, who died on Sunday at a Lancaster home in the 1200 block of Meadow View Lane. The paramedics were called soon after the birth of the baby to a 25-year-old woman. When the paramedics arrived, they found that the baby was not breathing and the were unable to revive her.

LANCASTER, Calif.—The Los Angeles County Department of Health Services plans to build a new multi-service ambulatory care center at Third Street East and Avenue I, according to Scott Mackey, project manager of the architecture firm designing the clinic.

The $120 million project, scheduled for completion in 2014, will be funded by Build America Bonds through the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act. The center will provide a state-of the-art health care facility for residents of Antelope Valley.
