Campaign promises

ANTELOPE VALLEY, Calif.— Some major decisions will be made come November, including possibly a new assemblyperson for the 36th District. This year the Antelope Valley is faced again with choosing  between top contenders—incumbent Assemblyman Steve Knight and Westside Union School District board member Linda Jones. Last election (Nov. 2008), the two faced off in a close political campaign that had the valley at the edge of its seat. It looks like the race may be close again.

The good news is that overall life expectancy is increasing and has reached an all-time high of 80.3 years in Los Angeles County.
