Gun, ammunition and marijuana

LITTLEROCK, Calif.—Sheriff’s deputies conducting a random probation check arrested the father of the probationer today for suspicion of possession of a gun, ammunition and marijuana for sale.

A Palmdale Sheriff’s Partners Against Crime team went to the probationer’s residence in the 102050 block of East Avenue R-6 in Littlerock and found him in compliance, but discovered evidence linking his father, Oscar Quezada, 43, and a convicted felon, to be in possession of marijuana for sale, said Deputy Robbie Royster of the sheriff’s Palmdale Station.

Quezeda was in possession of a handgun, ammunition and more than a pound of marijuana as well as the items needed for its sale, Royster said.

Quezeda was booked at the sheriff’s Palmdale Station on being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, convicted felon in possession of ammunition and possession of marijuana for sale, Royster said.

Quezada was being held on $35,000 bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday at the Antelope Valley Courthouse.
