Crash remains under investigation

LANCASTER, Calif.—Authorities today identified a man who was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Lancaster area.

The crash was reported about 6 a.m. Monday at SR-138 and 110th Street West, said California Highway Patrol Officer Monica Posada.

Christopher Paul Carroll, 29, of Palmdale, died at the scene, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.

The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.

    Bobby Phillips was killed in the crash at Rancho Vista Boulevard and 50th Street West that occurred about 12:30 a.m., according to sheriff's Sgt. Dennis Dubois of the Palmdale station and Lt. Cheryl MacWillie of the coroner's office.

    The autopsy for Phillips will likely take place Monday, MacWillie said.

    LANCASTER, Calif.—A man was killed today in a two-vehicle crash in the Lancaster area, authorities said.

    The man died at the scene of the crash, which was reported about 6 a.m. at 110th Street West at SR-138, said California Highway Patrol Officer Monica Posada.

    Authorities withheld the name of the dead man, who was in his 30s, pending family notification, said coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter.

    Traffic was routed around the area while an investigation was conducted.

  • Two-vehicle crash in Littlerock kills one man -

    PALMDALE, Calif. — A man was killed today in a two-vehicle crash in the Littlerock area near Palmdale, authorities said.

    The crash occurred at about 4:30 a.m. on Avenue T at Dunford Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

    According to the preliminary investigation, Jose Olivarez, 41, of Littlerock, was driving a 1998 Plymouth Voyager east on Avenue T when he turned left at Dunford Avenue “directly into the path of a westbound 2006 Chrysler,” the CHP said in a statement.
